Las Palmas Music

As part of the 7th/8th grade Elective Wheel, this is a twelve week course which introduces students to basic chords and note reading. Guitars are provided

JAZZ BAND  Audition is required to participate in this Band.  Rehearsals are at 7:00am Tue. & Thu. This performs at various events including the JAZZ BAND DINNER, LP Live  and PTA Holiday Luncheon. 
 

The Music Department at Las Palmas offers several opportunities for performance and musical growth.  There are three levels of Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Guitar Class.

Some of our annual performances include:

Side By Side with Northview H.S., Holiday Concerts, HSA Award Concert, LP Live, Jazz Band Dinner & Concert, Knott's Music Festival, and APU District Music Festival.

Our top musicians are recognized in a variety of ways for their excellence in musicianship, leadership, and commitment.

ADVANCED BAND  This band features our most advanced students and performs at a variety of events. 

INTERMEDIATE BAND This is an intermediate level band consisting of students with one or two years of middle school experience, or instructors recommendation.

BEGINNING BAND There are two sections of this class. One is comprised of 7/8 grades, and the other of incoming 6th graders.   All are welcome in our beginning bands.
